'You destroyed an ambitious project and decieved me and the coach'

Valencia remain in a mess. The midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has accused Anil Murthy, the club's president, of deceiving him. The Frenchman posted a message on social media that claimed Murthy has killed an ambitious project and lied to him and the coach, Javi Gracia.

"After destroying an ambitious project, You've had to lie to the coach and, finally, to me as well. Thanks, Anil Murthy," Kondogbia wrote on his Instagram Stories.

The player is really angry as he feels the president has played with him. The club suggested they would sell him in the final hours of the transfer window but that wasn't the case. The club stuck an 80 million price tag on his head and not the 30 million supposedly established in his contract. Murthy communicated as much to the player himself when Atletico Madrid tried to sign him as a replacement for Thomas Partey.

Beyond his personal situation, Kondogbia attacked Murthy for his overall management of the club and for not letting Gracia rescind his contract when he asked after broken promises regarding strengthening the squad.
