Madrid overcome Alaves in rain at Mendizorroza

Madrid sways pass Alavés 1-2 on Saturday at Estadio de Mendizorroza. The two teams arrived at this match after previous wins. Alavés wanted to continue adding points after winning their previous two games against Eibar away and Real Valladolid at home stadium, by 0-2 and 3-0 respectively while Real Madrid won in their last two matches of the competition against Real Sociedad at home stadium, and Eibar away, by 3-1 and 0-4 respectively. As of today, Alavés is 13th in the LaLiga, with 18 points from 15 matches, while Real Madrid sits at 1st with 31 points after playing a total of 15 matches.

 The first half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

 Real Madrid started strong in the second half of the game soon, thanks to a goal from Sergio Ramos 52 minutes in the game. Alavés found an equaliser thanks to a goal from Lucas Pérez 65 minutes in the game to establish the 1-1. However, Real Madrid in the 69th minute took the lead thanks to a goal from Dani Carvajal, which saw the second half to a 1-2.

 At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Alavés, Oliver Burke, Pere Pons and Manu García came on for Luis Rioja, Tomás Pina and Mubarak Wakaso, while Madrid substituted Rodrygo, Federico Valverde and Ferland Mendy with Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Isco.

 The referee booked Aleix Vidal, Tomás Pina, Lucas Pérez and Rubén Duarte from Alavés, while for Real Madrid Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos and Eder Militao saw a yellow card as well.

 Alavés will be playing against Granada at away stadium, while Real Madrid will face Espanyol at home stadium.
