Travelling Levante thrilled to secure a win against Atletico Madrid on Saturday

Levante eased past Atletico Madrid in a 2-0 victory on Saturday at Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico Madrid had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning last match. Levante lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Osasuna. As the table looks today, Atletico Madrid and Levante currently occupy 1st and 8th spots in the league, with 55 points and 31 points respectively after 24 matches.

Levante started the first half well, following Jose Luis Morales opening the scoring, 30 minutes in. The score at half time was 1-0.

Levante continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jorge De Frutos Sebastian just before the final whistle to hand victory to the visitors.
