Levante went pass Mallorca on a hard-earned victory of 2-1 on Friday at Ciudad de Valencia. Levante arrived with the intention of regaining victory after losing 2-1 against Athletic while Mallorca came from winning 3-1 against Villarreal in the last match played. Following today's result, Levante and Mallorca occupy position 10th (20 points) and 16th (14 points) respectively after playing a total of 14 matches.
Both sides were struggling to produce anything in the first half and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 0-0.
The second half started favourably for Levante, thanks to a goal from Roger Martí 52 minutes in the game. However, Mallorca gave an equalizer 1-1 thanks to a goal from Dani Rodríguez in the 65th minute. Levante took the lead thanks to a goal from Rubén Rochina 73 minutes in the game to establish the 2-1, finalising the game with a 2-1.
At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Levante, Rubén Rochina, Óscar Duarte and Enis Bardhi came on for Gonzalo Melero, Sergio Postigo and Roger Martí, while Mallorca brought on Josep Sene, Pablo Chavarría and Abdón to replace Salva Sevilla, Aleix Febas and Ante Budimir.
The referee booked José Campaña from Levante and José Campaña (2 yellow cards) saw the red card, while for Mallorca Ante Budimir saw a yellow card as well.
Levante will play against Getafe at away stadium, while Mallorca will face Real Betis at home stadium.
