LaLiga denounces PSG and Man City for breaking FFP rules
The Spanish top flight is not giving up the fight against the state-financed clubs
LaLiga have filed a complaint to UEFA over PSG and Man City “continuously breaching FFP regulations”.
The Spanish top flight confirmed the complaint against the English side was filed in April and the other, regarding PSG, happened this week. The two state-funded clubs have changed football’s landscape and Javier Tebas, the La Liga president, is not happy,
LaLiga hired legal companies in France and Switzerland to progress with their complaints. In a statement on Wednesday, they said that this was done “with the aim of undertaking administrative and judicial action before the relevant French bodies and the European Union as soon as possible.
"LaLiga considers that these practices alter the ecosystem and the sustainability of football, harm all European clubs and leagues, and only serve to artificially inflate the market, with money not generated in football itself.
"LaLiga understands that the irregular financing of these clubs is carried out, either through direct injections of money or through sponsorship and other contracts, that do not correspond to market conditions or make economic sense."
Kylian Mbappe snubbing Real Madrid and signing a new deal with PSG prompted the latest complaints from the Spanish top flight.
