The Ghanaian star spoke about why he decided to pen a new deal

He signed on for the next three seasons with the Canary Island club

Kevin-Prince Boateng signed a new three-year deal with Las Palmas and says he has found 'happiness' there and he believes in the team's future.

After signing on to 2020 he spoke to the media. "I have a family that live far away, Milan, but I gave my word to continue with Las Palmas. I am very happy, I think the club are too, I hope to do things well and grow together."

He thinks that three years is the "perfect time" for a new contract, given he is 30, and joked that he asked for six. "The president told me no".

Boateng thinks his first year with the club was "very good" because he adapted well to the Spanish league. He also had offers "from two or three interesting teams", but did not name them.
