Huesca on Monday lost to Betis on a home defeat at El Alcoraz. Huesca were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 0-1 to Barcelona. Real Betis, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Sevilla. After today's result, Huesca and Real Betis currently occupy 20th and 9th spots in the league, with 12 points and 23 points respectively after 18 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Real Betis continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with Aissa Mandi opening the scoring, 78 minutes in. Later, Real Betis took the lead with a goal form a goal from Antonio Sanabria in the 90th minute just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For Huesca, Jorge Pulido, Borja Garcia, Jaime Seoane, Sergio Gomez and Shinji Okazaki came on for Loren Moron, Diego Lainez, Aitor Ruibal and Sergio Canales, while Betis brought on Antonio Sanabria, Juanmi, Rodri and Sidnei to replace Loren Moron, Diego Lainez, Aitor Ruibal and Sergio Canales.

The referee booked Javier Ontiveros and Pablo Insua from Huesca. Real Betis had the worst of it though, with Paul Akouokou seeing yellow, and Paul Akouokou (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Huesca will next play Getafe away, with Real Betis facing Celta at home.
