Eibar defeated at home by Getafe at Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Sunday. Eibar wanted to improve their position in the tournament after losing against Real Sociedad 4-1 while Getafe won 4-0 the last league match against Levante. Following today's result, Eibar is 16th in the LaLiga, having garnered 15 points from 16 matches, while Getafe sits at 4th with 27 points after playing a total of 16 matches.

Both sides were struggling to produce anything in the first half and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 0-0.

Getafe boosted the game in the second half, with a goal from Angel Rodriguez 67 minutes in the game, finalising the game with a 0-1.

As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Eibar, Sergi Enrich, Pablo De Blasis and Edu Exposito came on for Charles, Roberto Correa and Pedro Leon, while Getafe brought on Angel Rodriguez, Jorge Molina and David Timor to replace Hugo Duro, Jaime Mata and Marc Cucurella.

The referee booked Pape Diop, Paulo Oliveira, Fabian Orellana, Sergi Enrich and Gonzalo Escalante from Eibar and Fabian Orellana saw the red card, while for Getafe Hugo Duro saw a yellow card as well.

Eibar will play against Athletic at away stadium, while Getafe will face Real Valladolid at home stadium.
