Pique spoke after the 4-2 win against Sevilla on Saturday night

Gerard Pique played well against Sevilla and spoke to Movistar after the 4-2 win at Camp Nou that saw Barca go back top of the table. After the game the defender said: "It was an important match against a Sevilla who arrived as leaders and we knew that we had to win to put ourselves there. We had the game under control but we continued with the dynamic of letting in goals too easily, which we should have avoided. Marc (Ande ter-Stegen) was splendid but we have to analyse the plays."

On Lionel Messi's injury: "It's evident that when he's there he gives us security becuase he's the best in the world. But I am sure that Messi's injury should not affect our morale. Whether he's there or not we have more than enough of a team to move forward with the games ahead."

On his own performance: "I did well. They have talked a lot about me recently but I'm happy with my display. The important thing is that we won, now comes the Champions league and the Clasico, a game in which anything can happen. We have to go step by step and each win is important."
