Espanyol avoid defeat and secure a 1-0 victory at home to Alaves

Espanyol strolled past Alaves with a 1-0 win on Wednesday at Rcde Stadium. Espanyol wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Real Betis in their previous game. After an un-eventful first half, Espanyol certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to a goal from Raul De Tomas, at 54 minutes. The game ended with a 1-0 home victory.
