Villarreal stunt Levante 5-1 on Sunday at the Ciutat de Valencia. Levante had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 1-0 victory against Eibar. Villarreal lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Osasuna. As the table looks today, Levante and Villarreal sit 9th, (38 points) and 5th, (49 points), spots respectively, after 33 matches.

Villarreal started strongly in the first half, with Sergio Postigo opening the rout, 9 minutes in.
