Celta enjoyed a mesmerizing home victory against Sevilla at Municipal de Balaidos on Sunday. Celta wanted to improve their position in the tournament after losing against Valencia 1-0 while Sevilla scored a 1 draw against Alavés, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. As of today, Celta is 17th in the LaLiga, having garnered 20 points from 23 matches, while Sevilla sits at 5th with 39 points after playing a total of 23 matches.
Good start of the game for Sevilla, thanks to a goal from Youssef En-Nesyri 23 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 0-1.
Celta boosted the game in the second half, with a goal from Iago Aspas in the 78th minute. Later, Celta scored again and turned the match 2-1 thanks to a goal from Pione Sisto in the 90th minute just before the end of the second half, finalising the game with a 2-1.
As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions. For Celta, Pione Sisto, Filip Bradaric and Santi Mina came on for Brais Mendez, Fran Beltran and Fedor Smolov, while Sevilla brought on Ever Banega, Luuk De Jong and Nolito to replace Suso, Youssef En-Nesyri and Franco Vazquez.
The referee booked Jeison Murillo, Hugo Mallo and Fedor Smolov from Celta, while for Sevilla Diego Carlos and Sergio Escudero saw a yellow card as well.
