On Sunday, Celta and Eibar were held to a 1-1 draw at Municipal de Balaidos. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Celta were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Real Betis. Eibar, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Atlético Madrid. As the table looks today, Celta and Eibar are 9th, (24 points) and 15th, (20 points), spots respectively, after 20 matches.
Celta started the game well, beginning with Brais Mendez opening the scoring, 9 minutes in, finalising the first half with a 1-0.
The second half started favourably for Eibar, following a goal from Bryan Salvatierra in minute 53. The game ended a 1-1 draw.
Both coaches used all substitutions. For Celta Okay Yokuslu, Alfonso Gonzalez and Miguel Baeza came on for Emre Mor, Fran Beltran and Nolito, while Eibar brought on Aleix Garcia, Pape Diop and Pedro Leon to replace Sergio Alvarez, Recio and Kike.
