Huesca let the match slip from their hands to Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano

Atletico Madrid eased past Huesca in a 2-0 victory on Thursday at Wanda Metropolitano. Atleti were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 5-0 victory against Eibar. Huesca had lost their previous match against Alaves. At the moment, Atleti and Huesca currently occupy 1st and 18th spots in the table, with 73 points and 27 points respectively after 31 matches.

Atleti dominated the first half, with a goal from Angel Correa in the 39th minute to see out the first half 1-0.

Los Colchoneros continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Yannick Carrasco finding the net at the 80 minute mark. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for Atleti.
