Granada succumbed to an away defeat to Atlético at Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday. Atlético Madrid wanted to improve their position in the tournament after losing against Real Madrid 1-0 while Granada won 2-1 the last league match against Espanyol. As of today, Atlético Madrid and Granada occupy position 4th (39 points) and 10th (30 points) respectively after playing a total of 23 matches.

The game started favourably for Atlético Madrid, with a goal from Angel Correa in the 6th minute, which saw the first half to a 1-0.

Atlético Madrid and Granada were struggling to produce anything in the second 45 minutes and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 1-0.

As for substitutions, both coaches used full substitutions.
