Antoine Griezmann: We're fighting for La Liga
The French striker said Atletico are battling for the Spanish title
Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann said that the Rojiblancos are "fine" after their Copa del Rey defeat by Girona and will keep fighting for La Liga.
"We're fine, we're fighting for first place, there's a long way to go, let's see where we end up," said Griezmann. "We have to keep working, win the rest of our games, and don't leave anything undone."
Atletico must turn the page quickly, against Huesca at El Alcoraz. A game Griezmann knows will be tricky.
"Any game away from home is complicated because they are waiting for us, with the fans pushing on the hosts. We havve to be strong and I hope we can get the three points."
Atletico was chosen by Atletico fans as player of the month in December.
"It's important to have the love and support of the fans and in December they helped me raise my level, them and my team-mates. I hope to stay in this form to help the team."
