The two clubs have been in talks for a while and Roberto's name is on the table

Sergi Roberto's name has appeared on the radar of Juventus as they look for reinforcements ahead of next season. The Italian giants have actually been in talks with FC Barcelona for a while about various potential transfers, including part exchange deals. And it appears Barça are open to letting the La Masia graduate leave.

With transfer fees likely to be on the low side going forward, it's forcing teams to consider alternative options. Barça and Juve have both mentioned players from the other's squad that they would be interested in. Roberto was one of the names Juve enquired about and not Arthur Melo, which has been reported in Italy.

Roberto's versatility is something that appeals to Juventus. The player's representatives are aware of the interest - and Barça's willingness to sell - but there's a long way to go before a deal can be reached. Barça are interested in Miralem Pjanic but, as with Roberto, these talks are exclusively about swap deals with no money changing hands.
