Inter Milan no longer interested in Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo
Barça wanted him to be included in the deal for Lautaro Martinez
Junior Firpo is no longer of interest to Inter Milan. The left-back could have been involved in a deal for Lautaro Martinez but the Italian club appear to have ruled him out.
Inter prefer to look elsewhere, according to Sport Mediaset, and will not accept Junior as part of the operation for Argentina striker Lautaro.
On July 7, Lautaro's release clause, which is fixed at 111 million euros, expires. After that, Inter will be able to demand as much as they want for the forward.
However, there is another Serie A club that have shown an interest in Junior. According to Il Matino, Napoli, Barça's Champions League opponents, are keen on the former Real Betis defender.
Napoli see the youngster as an alternative to current left-back Mario Rui. For now, there has been no contact between the two clubs, but talks could now begin if it's confirmed that Inter, who Barça would have given preference to, have pulled out.
