Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes get on really well with Piero Ausilio at Inter

Barcelona and Inter's paths have crossed and the two clubs are condemned to come to an understanding. There's no problem with the relationship between the two clubs, which has been really good for a number of years. That means operations between the clubs have been carried out in a relaxed atmosphere and with a willingness to talk.

There have been various meetings in the last three years and the club's sporting directors know each other well. Both Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes get on really well with Piero Ausilio, who is key in the Italian club's decision making. Last year, they met at least five times. The interaction is constant.

Conte insists on Arturo Vidal

Two visits from Piero Ausilio to Barcelona in the January transfer window were made with the objective of signing Arturo Vidal. The request for the Chilean was made by Inter coach Antonio Conte, although he didn't get his man as Barça couldn't let him leave in the middle of the season due to the size of their squad.

But that did not damage the relationship between the clubs and Inter will move again for Vidal. Conte is desperate to sign the midfielder, who he worked with at Juventus.

It's an operation that will happen with or without Lautaro Martinez moving to Barcelona. The Argentine is the Catalan club's top target this summer. Both parties will work towards a deal. And Inter owe Barça one, too, after the cancelled their option to buy Rafinha after the midfielder's loan a couple of years ago.
