L'Equipe claim there's very little hope Mbappe will return in time for the match against Atalanta

An unnecessary strong challenge on Kylian Mbappe in the French Cup final could have major implications for PSG. The club announced that their star striker had suffered a severely sprained ankle and more tests would be needed to determine how long he will be out for.

Some reports have suggested he'll be out for 10 days but 'L'Equipe' claim that's being far too optimistic and it would take "a miracle" for Mbappe to lineup against Atalanta.

There are 18 days until PSG face Atalanta in Lisbon but it appears that even if Mbappe is available, he certainly won't be at 100%.

PSG have had awful luck with injuries when it comes to the knockout rounds of the Champions League. Neymar has missed the previous two campaigns and now it might be their other star, Mbappe, who misses out.
