Following his transfer from Sevilla to Leicester, Vicente Iborra admitted that it had been a difficult decision to leave because the club where he was captain was special to him. But he said, “These trains go by and this was the time to get on”.
In a radio interview in Seville, he admitted it was a difficult time for him but he was always aware that it was going to be good for him and his family to “experience a league as remarkable as the Premier League”.
He said that the only thing that had pushed him towards the move was “change of scenery” and thinking about his family’s future. “If it had been for any other reason I would not have left”, he said because he had it all at Sevilla and been “very happy” there.
