Zinedine Zidane is likely to use the same tactic he did against Manchester City, but with Kroos coming back into the side

Zinedine Zidane is expected to add more experience to his Real Madrid side following the loss to Manchester City. This would see the Frenchman retain the two blocks of four which stifled Pep's team until the visitors equalised.

However, it would be unwise to rule out Zidane looking to get a reaction from his side and switching up the system. Something has to change after Madrid were knocked out of the Copa, on the brink of a European exit and they've also lost their lead in LaLiga.

The most likely change will be Toni Kroos coming back into the XI after being an unused substitute against City. This would see one of Modric or Valverde dropping out.

If Zidane continues his current rotation cycle, it would see Modric make way for Kroos. Another option would be to include all three with Casemiro just behind. Isco would then play off Benzema upfront with Bale and Vinicius Jr on the bench.

NO CHANGES IN DEFENCE

The one area of the field where they won't be any changes is in defence. Dani Carvajal will line up on the right with Ferland Mendy keeping his place on the left. Raphael Varane is untouchable in the centre and he'll be partnered alongside Sergio Ramos. Thibaut Courtois will remain between the sticks.

Despite losing both matches they've played together, Benzema and Vinicius appear to be Zidane's attacking partnership of choice. Of course, he could turn to Gareth Bale to partner Benzema in attack instead.

This means the most likely XI for Real Madrid is Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos and Mendy; Casemiro, Valverde, Kroos and Isco; Benzema and Vinicius.
