The Man City coach jokes that "of course" the Premier League champions want Olmo

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola highlighted the talent of Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo ahead of this week's game between the two sides.

Olmo joined Zagreb from Barcelona when he was 16 and has developed to the point that he's not being linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs.

"He came from the Barca academy -- it’s not easy, he’s one of the best players in the Spain academy, and he’ll come to one of the big clubs in Europe," Guardiola said.

"I’m so glad for him, he’s doing so well. The future is in his hands."

However, at the same time he responded with irony when asked if Olmo could sign for Manchester City: "According to the press we want to sign 100 players a month and of course Olmo is one of them. We will see what happens."
