The sporting director takes over from Quique Sanchez Flores
Rubén Reyes, until now the sporting director at Getafe, will replace Quique Sánchez Flores and will become the coach of the Madrid side, as confirmed this Friday by the club chaired by Ángel Torres through an official statement.
After José Bordalás' refusal to take charge of Getafe, Reyes accepted the challenge of trying to save a team that slipped into the relegation places after losing 1-2 against Almería at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez this week.

"Rubén Reyes, sporting director of Getafe Club de Fútbol, will be in charge of the first team from this training session onwards," the Madrid club announced.
Reyes will be assisted by the physical trainer of José Bordalás' team, Javier Vidal, who will join the coaching staff to work with the Getafe players.
The new coach of Getafe will make his debut this weekend with a relegation six-pointer against Espanyol, a direct rival for survival. After that, they will host Celta at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.
