The Frenchman is convinced Bale is ready if called upon to take on Barca

True to his style, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has not given any clues about who he will pick to partner Karim Benzema in attack in Wednesday's Clasico against Barcelona.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the Frenchman was asked about Gareth Bale's chances of starting the game with Eden Hazard still out injured.

The choice is likely to boil down to Bale or Rodrygo, with Zidane insisting the Welshman's celebrations with his national team last month are not an issue.

"That's in the past," he said. "Bale is with us, training well. He's an important player and he's always shown it. Tomorrow he'll be prepared like everyone, I have no doubt."

Bale was on the bench against Valencia at the weekend, but did come on in the second half. The other options include Vinicius Jr. and Isco.
