After 22 years at Arsenal he ways he is not going to walk away
Arsenal are going through their worst moments in the Wenger-era. The Gunners are sixth and have the worst points tally at this stage of the season since the coach arrived in 1996, 22 years ago. 2018 could hardly have gone worse so far.
Wenger has seen his side knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest and the league cup by Pep Guardiola. The 68-year-old has lost the support of the club's directors but his good relationshup with Stan Kroenke, the majority shareholder, is keeping him in the job.
However Wenger is not planning on going anywhere.
"It's the first time it happens in my whole career, I must say," the boss told Sky Sports.
"It's not easy, but I have enough experience and enough desire to turn things around and I must say that, at the moment, when you need to stay in the game we are making a few mistakes at the wrong moments.
"We have to stick together and focus. We have no other solution."
