Marlon Santos has permission to head to Italy and take his Sassolo medical ahead of a switch from Barcelona.
The defender is not needed by Ernesto Valverde. He spent last season on laon at Nice. The deal is set to be completed in the coming hours.
In recent days there were other clubs that tried to sign the 22 year old centre-back but in the end he will sign for Sassuolo for 12 million euros, 6 fixed and 6 in variables. He arrived at Barca in 2016 from Fluminense.
