Dries Mertens will be out for 10 days, back for second leg

The Belgian striker suffered a heavy tackle from Sergio Busquets, who is now suspended

It was a mixed night for Dries Mertens. A brilliant goal to send Napoli ahead was tainted when he had to go off injured after a heavy tackle from Sergio Busquets, and Barcelona equalised to draw 1-1 at the San Paolo on Tuesday. Mertens came off after 52 minutes and will miss around 10 days with a severely bruised ankle.

That means he will, in theory, be fit to play the second leg at Camp Nou on March 18, 9pm.

The forward smashed in the opening goal after Junior Firpo's error, beating Marc-Andre ter Stegen from the edge of the box. Mertens has 12 goals in total between Serie A and the Champions League, and five assists. He's the team's top scorer, equal with Milik.
