World record signing Neymar's value keeps sinking

The Brazilian moved to PSG in 2017 when they paid his 222m buyout clause

Neymar’s price just keeps on dipping. The PSG forward is currently worth 90 million euros after a bad season, with 11 goals and seven assists in 25 games, far from the 222 million euros PSG paid for his transfer five years ago from FC Barcelona.

After his controversial departure from the Blaugrana, Ney has not lived up to expectations and at 30, his career has fallen a bit flat, as reflected in his Transfermarkt value.

He is not a challenger for the Ballon d’Or, which was his main goal when he left Barcelona in August 2017.

It started so well, coming to Barcelona from Sao Paulo in June 2013 and he won the treble in 2015. However he left by the back door when PSG paid his clause.

In 2017 his value was 150 million, reaching 180m in 2018, the highest point. From his third season at PSG it began to fall, down to 160m in December 2019, down to 128m in October 2020. In April 2021 it sunk to 110 million, in June to 100m and now it is at 90m.

At Barcelona in four seasons he played 186 games, scored 105 goals and gave 78 assists, at PSG in five he has played 140 games, 98 goals and given 59 assists. A fall from grace.
