UEFA choose Cristiano Ronaldo's overhead kick as the goal of the season
Cristiano's goal received 197,496 votes, ahead of Payet's strike against RB Leipzig in the Europa League
Cristiano Ronaldo's overhead kick for Real Madrid against his now current side Juventus was named as the best goal of last season according to vistors to UEFA's website.
The goal, which came in the quarter finals of the Champions League, was first in the poll with 197,496 votes.
Second place went to Dimitri Payet, who plays for Marseille, for his strike against RB Leipzig in the quarter finals of the Europa League. He received 35,558 votes.
And third place when to Spanish player, Eva Navarro, with 23,315 votes for her goal against Germany in the final of the U17 European Championship.
It's the first time Cristiano Ronaldo has won this award. The previous winners were Leo Messi in 2015 (vs Bayern Munich) and 2016 (vs Roma) and Mario Mandzukic against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
