Pau Lopez debuts for Spain in Malta clash

Robert Moreno picked a surprising goalkeeper in Spain's penultimate Euro 2020 qualifier. 

With La Roja aleady booked to play next summer, the coach decided to pick Pau Lopez between the sticks. The battle for a first-team place next summer seems to be between David de Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Another new player in the side is Pablo Sarabia. He will join Gerard Moreno and Alvaro Morata upfront. 

Dani Olmo, selected in the squad for the first time, will have to appear from the bench if he is to play. Spain beat Malta 2-0 in the first match between them in the group.
