Neymar sent off as Paris Saint-Germain beaten by leaders Lille

PSG's title hopes suffered a blow on Saturday as they were beaten at home

Neymar was sent off as Paris Saint-Germain were beaten 1-0 by Lille in a huge clash at the top of Ligue 1 in Paris on Saturday.

Jonathan David scored the only goal of the game as the visitors re-opened a three-point lead over Mauricio Pochettino's side with seven games to go.

Neymar was sent off in stoppage time for picking up two yellow cards, both for raising his hands to opponents after challenging for the ball.

Lille also ended the game with 10-men when Tiago Djalo was sent off moments after Neymar saw red in the top of the table clash.

PSG fielded both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for the game but were unable to break Lille down, with Canada striker David's goal the only strike of the game.

The title race is hotting up in Ligue 1. Lille have 66 points with seven games to go, while PSG have 63 and Monaco have 62. And just behind them, Lyon, who have a game in hand, have 60.
