The striker was furious and frustrated after missing the penalty that cost Les Bleus

The president of the French football federation Noel Le Graet explained in an interview with Le Journal Du Dimanche that Kylian Mbappe wanted to quit international football after missing a decisive penalty against Switzerland in the Euros.

His team were eliminated and the forward was in the spotlight. Le Graet said that Kylian was angry because he felt the federation and not supported him sufficiently after all the criticism he received, above all on social media.

“He was angry, he didn’t want to play for the French national team any more,” explained Le Graet. “Kylian is a winner and he was very frustrated after the elimination, like all of us.”
