Knee problems will force the Catalan forward to miss the rest of the season

A tragedy for Gerard Deulofeu. Misfortune in the form of an injury has once again reappeared in the career of the Catalan player, who has been heavily punished by physical problems.

In recent years, he seemed to have left injuries behind, though, and was once again enjoying football with Udinese.

But Deulofeu has now ruptured the cruciate in his right knee and will have to have surgery again again. He will be operated on in Rome. This time it will be a reconstruction.

The forward will miss the remainder of the season and will not get a January transfer following links with Tottenham and Roma.

Deulofeu missed two months with knee problems between November and January and it seems he has not recovered from them after returning this month.

On Jan. 25, Udinese announced that he would "seek specialist advice in order to recover from his recurring knee issues."

That advice has led to more surgery and another setback in the career of the former Barcelona player, who has also played for Everton, Sevilla, AC Milan and Watford.
