There was a new record attendance of 12,178 for the game between Barca and Lyon

Barcelona's womens' team had three big names watching on from the stand as they faced Olympic Lyon - Ernesto Valverde, Samuel Umtiti and Jasper Cillessen. The coach and two first team players watched the second leg of the women's Champions League and showed that the womens side of the game is being backed increasingly by the club.

Valverde and Umtiti said they would do what they could to make it to the game and followed through on that. The caoch back in the day helped set up the Athletic Bilbao womens' team. Umtiti, meanwhile, was interested in the women's team while at Lyon and watched his compatriots in action. They and Cillessen watched in the presidential box with Josep Maria Martomeu.

RECORD ATTENDANCE

There were 12.178 fans at the game, which was a new record for a womens match, beating the 10,352 last season for Barca-PSG in the semi-finals. However although tickets were free, the Mini was not filled up to see Barca face the best womens' team in Europe.
