The full-back is heading back to the club she came from

Ona Batlle returns home. The Catalan full-back, who spent four seasons between the youth team and the reserve team, will join Barça on a free transfer from Manchester United in order to make a step up in quality.

British journalist Tom Garry and Relevo advanced that her signing is very close and SPORT can confirm that it is a reality and that for some weeks now there has been a total agreement between both parties, now we're just waiting for official act of signing and the photograph with the president.

At the age of fourteen, Batlle joined the Barça youth academy and, after three years in the reserve team, she left for a newly promoted Madrid CFF. She then spent two seasons at Levante and in 2019 she made the leap to England, signing a three-year contract with Manchester United, who had just qualified for the next Champions League.

Consolidated as one of the best full-backs in the world - both in the Women's Super League and with the Spanish national team - Barça had already tried to sign her last year but United refused. This summer, at last, Ona can say that she is coming home.
