The women’s team conquered Europe again and will party on Sunday

Barça will celebrate the Women's Champions League conquered in Eindhoven in style. As a tribute to winning the most prestigious women's club title in Europe, the women's first team will travel today, Sunday, to Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona, where they will be received first at the Generalitat de Catalunya and then at Barcelona City Hall by the highest authorities of the region and the city. There, the Azulgrana players will receive a well-deserved tribute after the comeback achieved in Eindhoven.

The team is expected to arrive by coach at the junction of Via Laietana and Plaça del Àngel and then walk the final stretch to Sant Jaume along Jaume I street. The entrance for fans to Sant Jaume will be exclusively along Carrer Jaume I, Carrer Ferran and Carrer del Bisbe, leaving the other entrances to the square as evacuation routes and for emergency teams.

The reception at the Generalitat de Catalunya will start at 18.00 hours (CET), and will be attended by the players and coaching staff, the president Joan Laporta and other members of the Board of Directors. On behalf of the Government of Catalonia, the institutional presence of the President, Pere Aragonès, the Minister of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà, and the Secretary General for Sport and Physical Activity, Anna Caula, will welcome the team at the Palau and take them to the Pati Gòtic, where the reception will take place.

Afterwards, the group will cross Plaça Sant Jaume to be received by the acting mayoress of the city of Barcelona, Ada Colau, who will be accompanied by the acting deputy mayor for Ecology, Urban Planning, Infrastructures and Mobility, Janet Sanz, and the acting councillor for Sports, David Escudé, who will lead the team to the Saló de Cent, where the European champions will be honoured by the Barcelona City Council.
