The midfielder was the star in Eindhoven with a quick-fire brace in the second half

Patri Guijarro has been one of the stars of the Champions League final between Barcelona and Wolfsburg as the Blaugrana produced a stunning comeback to win 3-2.

The Barça midfielder levelled the game at 2-2 with a brace at the start of the second half in just two minutes. Fridolina Rölfo was then in charge of sealing the title with the winning goal.

"It's unbelievable, it's not easy to come back like that because of the way we went in at half-time," Patri said after the game.

Recalling the disappointment of last season's final in Turin against Olympique Lyon, she added: "We owed it to the fans and to ourselves. We also owed it to our families.

"It's a great source of pride to win the Champions League again. It's incredible to enjoy it with our fans. In the first one [in 2021], they couldn't be there."

Patri explained that at half-time coach Jonatan Giráldez asked them to have faith and to be attentive to transitions.

"He told us that we had to believe," she said. "They didn't have many chances, we had many more. We had to believe and scoring two early goals gave us a lot of life."
