The youngster has been in many squad but lately got more action with the B team
Being part of the first team and the B team at the same time is not easy. History shows that, so one of the greatest accomplishments this season for Garcia Pimienta’s Barca B is the naturally with which Ilaix Moriba and Konrad de la Fuente have managed it.
The latter, from Miami, has been called up 21 times by Ronald Koeman and has been given three appearances, two in the Champions League (7m in Kiev, 14m in Budapest), and one in the Copa del Rey (19m in Cornella). However he has not been called up for big games like the Clasico and the Copa del Rey final.
Far from sulking, Konrad has been helping the B team a lot. He got two assists (against Alcoyano and Ibiza) and a goal, against Villarreal B last Sunday. He was the team’s best player.
In the stands of the Johan Cruyff were Rodrigo and Jorge Messi. As well as his first-team colleagues Pedri and Oscar Mingueza. Konrad has a contract until June 2022 and wants to succeed at Camp Nou. It will come.
