Zidane's side were knocked out of the Copa, slipped to 2nd in LaLiga and are on the verge of a Champions League exit

It's been a month to forget for Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid. They came into February top of LaLiga and after winning the Spanish Super Cup. There was even talk of a possible treble this season. Yet that dream has been crushed over the course of the past four weeks as fatigue, poor form and injuries have all played a factor.

Zidane's team have lost three matches, drawn another and only won twice. They were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Real Sociedad, lost top spot in LaLiga to FC Barcelona and are on the brink of an early Champions League exit after losing 2-1 at home to Manchester City.

SIX MATCHES: THREE LOSSES AND A DRAW

Their drop in form is worrying. It's the first time this season Real Madrid have lost back-to-back matches (vs Levante and City). Confidence is a major issue and the team's style of play is looking less certain. They've lost half of their matches in February. Yet this is familiar territory for Los Blancos.

Last year, Madrid lost in the Copa to Barça, in the Champions League against Ajax and once again in LaLiga to Barça. That ruined any chance of them picking up silverware in a nightmare run of fixtures. Solari was sacked and Zidane brought in to rejuvenate the team. The French coach must ensure history doesn't repeat itself by seeing a season fall into chaos within the space of a few weeks.
