Bono saved it, but even then it could have been retaken as players encroached into the area.
A tight game was heading for 30 more minutes but Ever Banega's dangerous cross was flicked in by Ocampos on his head.
“We came up against a good side who are really tight at the back,” said Sevilla goalkeeper Bono.
“They were well set up and it was so tough to cause them any sort of harm, so when the goal arrived we felt that kind of relief just lift off us.
"I've been practicing saving penalties, especially with Ocampos, who takes penalties in a similar way [to Jimenez]. I know Raul from our time together at Atlético Madrid so I knew a little bit how he tends to take them. But you always need luck, too.”
Sevilla face Man United on Sunday. On Monday, Shakhtar Donetsk play Inter Milan after a 4-1 thumping of Basel.
