David Galllego's side lost 3-0 at home to Granada on Sunday

David Gallego's job is already under question at Espanyol just three games into the La Liga season. Despite reaching the Europa League group stages, a bad start to the league campaign has led to questions among fans and the board about Gallego's suitability for the job.

Espanyol find themselves in the drop zone after three games. They have picked up just one point from nine and have not scored a single goal yet. The performances have not been ideal, either. Despite Gallego's defence of his team, his future, just a few months into the job, is already on the line.

After the international break, Espanyol have seven games in 20 days and will need a reaction. Gallego's first match ball is against Eibar away. A bad result there will increase the pressure.

Gallego replaced Rubi in the summer when he quit for Real Betis. If he were to leave, ex-Girona and Sevilla coach Pablo Machin would be the favourite to take his place on the bench in Cornella.
