Joan Laporta has announced his team for the next Barca sporting project, if he is elected president.
Rafael Yuste leads the way, while Victor Valdes is also involved and former Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany.
Jose Ramon Alexanko, Sergi Barjuan, Pichi Alonso, Xavi Llorens and Albert Benaiges would also have parts to play.
Carlos Puyol was added to the list of names, and in a video format he also showed he had the support of Rafa Marquez, Deco and Samuel Eto’o, who greeted him as “future Barca president”.
On Xavi and Iniesta he said: “We have no commitment with them, we don’t want them to feel used. The candidate who was the presidency will have in his hands the possibility of bringing them in if they want. I have a good relationship with them and we will look at all possibilities.”
The three candidates will debate now, firstly on Sunday at the Auditori 1899 at Camp Nou. The second debate will be Tuesday. And the final one will be Friday 5, the last day of the campaign, two days before the election. That will be on TV3 at Camp Nou from 22.10pm CET.
