De Ligt: "I still don't know which shirt I'll be wearing next season"
At the end of the Nations League final, attention quickly turned to de Ligt's future, but he won't be making a decision for a while yet
When the UEFA Nations League concluded many expected Matthijs de Ligt to reveal his ffuture club. However the in-demand defender said his immediate plans were to go on holiday and that a decision will come with a clear head.
The 19-year-old captain, alongside Van Dijk, came up against one of the best strikers in the world: Cristiano Ronaldo. It was an interesting duel but one, on an individual level, where didn't have a clear winner. Although on the night it was Portugal who claimed the trophy after winning by a single Goncalo Guedes strike.
"When you play in a final you want to win it. If you don't, you feel frustrated. It were sloppy in the first half and we didn't show what we did against England."
As for his future: don't expect a decision any time soon. "I'm still not sure which shirt I'll be wearing after a long, long season. I just want to relax now."
