David Moyes: "Nobody can stop Lionel Messi, he is one of the best players ever"

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes has added his name to the list of managers conceding that it is is impossible to stop Lionel Messi when he is on form. 

Moyes, speaking ahead of Saturday's match against Barcelona, reckons "nobody can stop Messi. Some days he is not as good as others, but he is one of the best players in history. I admire him." 

However, the Scottish coach pointed out that La Real were able to stop Barça when they met at Anoeta in January, a match with clearly marked a change in the Catalan side's season.

"Barça are playing really well, but we beat them earlier this season," he continued. "We have to show that we are capable of repeating that."

Moyes did admit that it will be much more difficult to provide a surprise at Camp Nou, although he insisted that he wants his team "to play well and create chances. We will have to defend well, though."

La Real's match against Barcelona on Saturday kicks off at 6pm CET. Real Madrid host Valencia immediately afterwards at the Santiago Bernabeu.
