Corsport: Juve's Cristiano Ronaldo will win the 2019 Ballon d'Or
The newspaper "Corriere dello Sport" claim the Portugal star will pocket the prize this year
Cristiano Ronaldo will win the 2019 Ballon d'Or, according to a report in Italian newspaper 'Corriere dello Sport' on Monday.
Among other things, they say that the fact that representatives from the magazine France Football, who give out the award, have been in Turin is a sign that the Juventus man will win the award this year.
If true, Ronaldo would win the Ballon d'Or for the sixth time and would overtake Lionel Messi with six Ballons d'Or -- the Barcelona man has won it five times but did also win FIFA's the Best this year as well as the European Golden Shoe.
The report claims that France Football dined with Ronaldo in Turin, with Juve's sporting director Fabio Patrici also present.
Remember that the three favourites for the prize are the same players who finished top three in The Best: Messi, Ronaldo and Liverpool's Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk.
The winner will be officially revealed at a gala on Dec. 2.
