Everton, Jesus and Richarlison scored as the 10-man hosts eased to victory
Hosts Brazil were crowned Copa America champions for the first time since 2007 as they beat Peru 3-1 at the Estadio do Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.

Everton Soares, Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison were all on target in a game which featured two penalties, plenty of VAR and a red card for Manchester City's Jesus in the second half.
However, even with 10 men for over 20 minutes, a Brazil side featuring the Barcelona duo of Arthur Melo and Philippe Coutinho never looked like losing against Peru.
Brazil had seen off the threat of Lionel Messi's Argentina in the semifinal and were not about to let Peru -- who stunned Uruguay on penalties in the last eight and then hammered Chile -- spoil their party as they claimed their ninth Copa crown. Only Uruguay (15) and Argentina (14) have more.
In truth, Brazil have never really looked troubled at their home tournament. They beat their final opponents Peru 5-0 as they eased through the group stages and it was only against Paraguay that they nearly came unstuck. Having failed to score in normal time -- despite plenty of chances -- they needed penalties to get through the quarterfinal.
Tite's side did it all without Neymar, too. The Paris Saint-Germain forward missed the tournament with an ankle injury. They hardly missed him, though, with the likes of Everton, Jesus, Roberto Firmino and Dani Alves all excelling at times.
It was Everton that gave them an early lead at the Maracana before Peru levelled against the run of play on the stroke of halftime. After a lengthy VAR review, a penalty was eventually given for a Thiago Silva handball and Paolo Guerrero scored from the spot.
But Peru couldn't even get to the break level. Arthur won the ball back and teed up Jesus who nudged the hosts back ahead in stoppage time.
Peru didn't trouble after Brazil in the second half, not even when Jesus was sent off for a second yellow card before disappearing down the tunnel in tears.
Instead, it was the Selecao who scored again. Everton raced into the box and went down to a shoulder barge. Another VAR review was needed to confirm the penalty and Everton forward Richarlison scored the clincher with just minutes to go.
