Real Madrid's director of institutional relations, Emilio Butragueño, spoke to Movistar after the 3-1 Clasico win over Barcelona.

"I have been in football for many years and when there is some unexpected result there are a lot of comments," he said, speaking of Madrid's two defeats before this game. "We are happy with our squad and we know what Zidane means for us.

"We have to try and take everything in our stride, to be united, winning and losing, today we are happy and pleased for our fans. There were no doubts (about Zidane). Now we have to prepare for Tuesday (UCL)."

Asked about the penalty given for Lenglet's pull on Ramos's shirt by VAR, he said it was a "relatively simple" action. "It's a VAR play, the referee went to see it and took a decision. VAR is there to help, the referee checked it and took a decision that we can understand."
