Jordi Alba returns to training with FC Barcelona ahead of El Clásico
The left back completed the first part of the session alongside his teammates
Barça returned to training today as they begin work ahead of El Clasico on Sunday. After a tough trip away to Napoli in midweek, all of the attention now turns to Real Madrid in LaLiga.
The biggest news from this morning's session was the return of Jordi Alba. The left-back was involved in the first part of the session although he's still a few days away from being given the green light to return to action.
7 YOUTH TEAM PLAYERS WERE CALLED UP BY SETIEN
With Suárez, Roberto, Dembélé and Alba all injured Quique Setién included a number of youth prospects up training with the first team. They were Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, Araujo, Akieme, Collado, Monchu and Morer. Three of those seven will be included in the squad for El Clasico.
ONLY 15 SENIOR PLAYERS AVAILABLE
As things stand, Barça only have 15 first-team players available and must name an 18-man squad for the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ansu and Riqui look certain to make the list. Akieme, who travelled to Eibar in the last LaLiga match, is most likely to claim the third and final spot available.
