Exclusive: The signs of affection between Leo Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo
The two players have been rivals for a decade but there doesn't seem to be bad blood between them
The Clasico between Barça and Real Madrid (1-1) was intense and had many different phases, but despite the cauldron which Camp Nou because with 98.485 voacl supporters (around 800 Madridistas), Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo took sime time to sign a truce and affectionately greet each other on the pitch.
As you can see in the excellent series of photographs taken by our colleagues Marc Casanovas and Javier Ferrándiz, there was a moment in which La Pulga and CR7 crossed on the grass, hugged and had a chat in a good tone.
For more than a decade, Messi and Ronaldo have been involved in a sporting rivalry, starting with games between Manchester United and Barça but primarily because of the Clasico. They've also been rivals for all individual awards, from the Golden Shoe to the Ballon d'Or.
Despite everything, it's known that they respece each other and when they bump into each other at events thet always maintain a normaly, friendly relationship.
However, there had never been a moment of such complicity between the Argentine and the Portuguese, especially in a Barça-Real Madrid match.
